Love is that condition in the human spirit so profound that it allows me to survive, and better than that, to thrive with passion, compassion, and style.

About Us
The House of Manna is a missional faith community that contextualizes itself in the life of inner-city Pittsburgh Pa. encouraging all to live Christian
lifestyles. Just as in the work of Jesus Christ we will use a bottom up approach to ministry, ministering to everyday people who know not Christ as
Lord and savior, yet seek the hand of God. We will work to build from the strengths of the community, working along-side, residents, churches and
community organizations to ensure the community of God’s willingness to sustain His people in all situations. God does provide our manna of the day.
We value God: therefore we believe in the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe God is creator and we are God’s creation, born to live in the image of Christ. We believe, God is at work in the lives and experiences of everyday people. Christ has renewed us to live according to his glory. The Holy Spirit empowers us to love God and love our neighbors. We love God; working to lead everyday people to Glorify God because God is God. Through faith we live in relationship with God, living a worship lifestyle, praying in the community, singing hymns in the grocery line, and quoting scripture in the boardroom. Matthew 22:37
We value transformation: therefore we change our lives to follow the will of God, be in relationship with God, and live as the body of believers.
We recognize faith as a catalyst for broad social change and encourage a commitment to discipleship that begins before entering the church doors,
and moves progressively in God’s glory to transform our community, our city, and our world. Romans 12:2
We value love: therefore we reflect the all-encompassing love of Jesus Christ. Christ teaches love as a foundation of spiritual transformation. We love God’s everyday people, teaching and sharing the Word of God, praising and worshipping, and struggling for equality. 1 Timothy 1:5
We value community: therefore we are an amalgamation of Christian families and individuals who work in community to embrace its heritage,
expressing our faith through music and arts. We listen to the joys and concerns of God’s everyday people, sharing the Gospel and fellowship with the
young and the old. We work hard to live in relation with the Lord and each other, breaking bread in community meals, worshipping corporately, and
organizing to ameliorate injustice. We live in collaboration sharing faith and resources as God has provided. Acts 2:42-47
